Dundalk's magical European run of last season started with a Champions League qualifier against FH of Iceland. The Lilywhites progressed on away goals, navigated their way past BATE Borisov but were sent into the Europa League by Legia Warsaw.
The draw for this year's second round took place in Nyon, Switzerland this morning, with Dundalk involved. Earlier in the day, the seeds and non-seeds had been split into regionalized groups. Stephen Kenny's side could've drawn Celtic, Maribor, Legia Warsaw, Malmo, Rosenborg or FH Hafnarfjordur of Iceland.
They were pulled out of the hat against Rosenborg.
Rosenborg have dominated the Norwegian league for the past decade. They have a really good record against Irish clubs as well - winning all three of their ties, but Sligo Rovers did manage a win in Norway.
The home and away leg dates and times have yet to be confirmed, but the match days will be in the middle of July.
Cork City, Derry City and Shamrock Rovers will find out their opposition in around about an hour's time. They're part of the Europa League second qualifying round draw.
