Champions League draw:
With the increased prize money this season, the European path has taken on added significance for the Irish side. While the financial benefits are undoubtedly important, once you get to the draw for the qualifying rounds, it's all about the football.
Dundalk had a one in six chance of facing Celtic in the second qualifying round but it wasn't to be and the Irish champions were instead drawn to face Belarusian side BATE Borisov.

BATE have been absolutely dominate in Belarusian football over the past decade and they are well on their way to a tenth consecutive title. They also have plenty of pedigree in Europe having made it to the group stage of the Champions League on five occasions in that timeframe.
Celtic meanwhile have been drawn to face FC Stjarnan of Iceland.
