The spiritual home of Irish football is waiting in line for a face-lift.
Dublin City Council have produced their plans for the shiny new Dalymount Park. With a capacity of 10,000, the model resembles a slightly scaled down version of Thomond Park albeit with covered seated stands at either end.
The pitch will be realigned slightly freeing up land elsewhere. New entrances will be constructed on St. Peter's Road and Connaught Road.
It is envisaged that Bohemians will have to spend a season playing elsewhere while the stadium is under construction.
The design is drawn up by architects Gilroy McMahon, who had previously worked on Croke Park.
Bohemians were severely strapped before the sale of the stadium to the city council last year.
