The affinity between Borussia Dortmund's players and their fans has been long held up as an example for other clubs to aspire to. Week in, week out, the crowd at the Westfalenstadion are incredible, regardless of what's going on on the pitch and this season has really tested that to the limit.
Dortmund currently lie dead last in the Bundesliga, a million mles away from recent triumphs, so it seems only right that the players give a bit back to the fans to help spread some Christmas cheer. What better way than to get behind the bar at the supports Christmas party and start pouring some pints.
The club's website even admitted that the gesture was a small way to make up for the fact that Bundesliga champions of 2012 are now bottom of the table heading into December.
