We'll admit we have a bit of a soft spot for Clinton Morrison here at Balls.ie. As such, we feel it is our duty to update anyone who will listen on the goings on in Clinton's career. Clinto, as he's known to his cult followers, was picked up by Exeter City on 'non-contract' terms at the end of November and it looked like that non-contract might be up following Saturday's 2-1 loss to Accrington.
Indeed Morrison's Twitter account in the aftermath of the match, which saw him start up top for Exeter for just the second time, seemed to suggest that it would be his last for the Devon side.
Gutted with result today. I've enjoyed my time at Exeter, great manager, players & fans. Wish I'd played more but took time to get match fit

Definitely think Exeter will be there or there abouts come the end of the season with the good squad and management they have. — Clinton Morrison (@morrisonclinton) January 3, 2015
However, some potential good news came from the man himself of Sky's Goals on Sunday yesterday
I haven’t got the elbow. I think maybe he (Exeter manager Paul Tisdale) wants me until the end of the season. They are just trying to sort that out now.
He has liked the way I have come in there and helped the youngsters and my experience has helped the team and they are just trying to get out of that league. It is difficult, when you haven’t played for four or five months, to build that fitness up at my age and to keep going, but I have enjoyed it and day-by-day I’m getting fitter.
So don't panic just yet ladies and gentleman, those Exeter City jerseys that you bought for all your relatives as Christmas presents aren't null and void just yet. Come on Tisdale, do the right thing, give the man a contract.
