Sometimes the great headlines just write themselves.
Reports in France have revealed that former Liverpool striker Djibril Cisse has been arrested along with three other individuals regarding a plot to blackmail France star Mathieu Valbuena with a sex tape.
The AFP news agency is reporting that the sex tape in question is thought to be in possession of the three other individuals that have been arrested. As such, Cisse is thought to be outside the primary investigation and he should 'be quickly exonerated'.
As you would expect, no details of the tape in question have been released. However, the French arm of the twitterati are having quite a bit of fun with the story, particularly given Valbuena's petite 5ft 4' frame. We'll let you put two and two together on that one.
While it seems Cisse may soon be cleared in relation to this incident. It's likely to only increase his status as a bit of a 'character' to put it nicely. The Lord of the Manor as he is known to Liverpool fans may not have always been a hit on the pitch but he's certainly managed to keep himself in the headlines depsite the fact that he's now playing for St. Pierroise on the island of Reunion.
