With Declan Rice seemingly considering his international future amid interest from England, Irish fans have not taken the news well.
Despite being born and raised in London, Rice has represented the Republic of Ireland since through the underage levels.
He reaffirmed his commitment to the Irish cause as recently as March, stating "I’ve been playing with Ireland since U16 level, my mindset is fully on playing with Ireland."
He now seems to have backtracked on those comments, with many speculating that a switch in agent this summer a major influence in the decision.
The news has understandably not been well received by Irish fans, including Kevin Kilbane and James McCLean.
While it would be assumed that the reactions amongst West Ham supporters would be much more positive, judging by this thread on Reddit the camp is split on the issue.

With no timeframe on when we might get a final decision from Rice, expect this one to rumble on for the foreseeable future.
