A cohort of Croatian ultras heaped disgrace on themselves last week when they interrupted their side's game with the Czech Republic by chucking flares onto the field, as part of a continued protest against their own association: a section of Croatian fans are so staunchly against the nation's FA that they are trying their best to rack up fines and a possible expulsion for the governing body. The full explanation of the reason behind their actions can be read here.
The actions against the Czechs were forecast ahead of the tournament, and today Croatian Police have warned UEFA of a planned attack on referee Bjorn Kuipers in the thirtieth minute of tonight's game against Spain. These quotes from Croatian FA president Nikola Kajkic are via The Guardian:
We have information that the same people that caused trouble in St. Etienne will try the same, and even try to attack the referee in 30th minute of the match.

While the supporters made true on their threat ahead of the Czech game, we can only hope that this proves to be an empty threat.
