He's still got it.
At the ripe old age of 36, former Liverpool striker Dirk Kuyt is back playing with Feyenoord in Holland, and - allowing for the relatively poor quality of the Dutch league - has been tearing it up.
His side were trailing 1-0 against Excelsior before Kuyt struck this sumptuous, outside-of-the-boot volley to draw them level. They eventually ran out 4-1 winners, thanks in part to this Van Persie-esque chest control and volley. Here are the goals:
Kuyt scored 51 times for Liverpool in 208 games, which is hardly prolific, but he had a habit of scoring goals in big games (the winning penalty in the 2007 Champions League semi-final, a header in the subsequent final, a goal in the 2012 Carling Cup final and a Luis Suarez-assisted hat-trick against Manchester United) and impressed fans with a frankly ludicrous work-rate.
He also earned the adulation of supporters by using his first ever touch as a Liverpool player to shoot: a volley that went wide against West Ham. Perhaps Kuty left Liverpool a year or two too soon.
Feyenoord are now the club benefitting from getting their Dirk out.
