Take Moment To Appreciate The Majesty Of Dimitri Payet's Goal This Weekend

Dimitri Payet's move to Marseille has not done much to steady the club's erratic form in terms of results as they have essentially followed a win with a loss over the last six weeks, but the former West Ham man has popped up with a few moments of magic that have lifted the mood about the place.

None were more magical than the goal he scored on Sunday as Marseille cruised to a 4-1 win away to Lorient.

18 minutes into the game and with his side already 1-0 up, Payet quite frankly took the piss with the second goal of the game, a display of barely believable ball control and something totally unique.

What looked like a pathetic near post corner was rescued by two sublime flicks, the first to get the ball under his spell like something from Harry Potter, the second to embarrass the goalkeeper and defenders crowding the goal.

It was absolutely beautiful, and you can only imagine the wankfest if this had been scored in a Premier League game on Sky Sports.

That is stunning. It's Berbatov-esque.

The fact that he was facing away from goal and so nonchalantly popped the ball into the back of the net makes Payet's stand out as a moment of majesty.

Some people online are trying to argue that he didn't mean it, but it certainly didn't look like an accident and when the player in question is someone of the talent that Payet is known to possess, at what point does that become being a moaner just for the sake of it?

Drink in the replays, it's a special, special goal.
