Diego Maradona's daughter Dalma has assured fans of the former footballer that he is in good health after being released from hospital after suffering a stomach bleed.
The 58-year-old was in hospital to perform a routine check up when doctors discovered that he had internal bleeding in his stomach .
But Dalma Maradona moved to assuage concerns about her father on Twitter, stating that 'For those who were really worried about my dad I can tell you that he is well. He is going home soon.'
The World Cup winner also posted on his Instagram account, thanking people for their support and reassuring them that he is fine:
I want to thank you for the messages of encouragement. I'm sorry they were worried for no reason. I want to tell you that nothing happened, that I'm fine. And today I take care of my grandchildren Benja, Dieguito Matías, and my son Diego Fernando. I send a kiss to all!
Maradona currently coaches Mexican second division side Dorados de Sinaloa, and before news broke of his health scare it was announced that the Argentine would be staying on as manager for a second season.
The club have since stated that his assistant Jose Maria Martinez will manage the team until Maradona returns.
