English football may soon be about to allow a pantomime reclaim its villain as reports continue to emerge claiming that Diego Costa is unsettled at Chelsea. Spanish sports paper AS reported yesterday that Costa was eager of a reunion with Diego Simeone at Atletico Madrid, only for Chelsea to scotch the reports that evening:
Been told that Diego Costa hasn't handed in a transfer request, is training hard with the squad today and will be staying at #cfc

In addition to this line to journalists, Antonio Conte has stressed that Costa remains of "fundamental importance" to his plans at Stamford Bridge, with Conte claiming that Costa is "very happy" at the club.
Sources close to Costa have been talking to ESPN FC, however, with the information relayed being strikingly similar to the stories surrounding Luis Suarez as he tried to engineer his move to Barcelona from Liverpool:
Sources have told ESPN FC that he feels he has been persecuted by the British media since his arrival two years ago, largely due to his abrasive playing style, and he still does not have command of the language.
Should Costa leave, Chelsea will be decidedly light up front. Michy Batshuayi arrived during the Euros, but Alexandre Pato has left and Falcao is a crock, meaning the only other alternative up front is Loic Remy.
