Diego Cavalieri and Roy Hodgson briefly spent time together at Anfield - Liverpool fans have forgotten one of them and probably wish they could forget the other.
Cavalieri was among the retinue of second-choice 'keepers signed by Rafa Benitez as an understudy to Pepe Reina, a group which also includes such luminaries as Charles Itandje and Daniele Padelli. Cavalieri played ten times for Liverpool before leaving to join Serie A side Cesena before returning to his homeland with Fluminense, where his performances helped them to the 2012 Brazilian league title and earned him a call-up to the Brazil side.
