Dietmar Hamann has labelled Phil Neville's criticism of Loris Karius "laughable", and described his former teammate Jamie Carragher as "out of order" for his own merciless takedown of the new Liverpool goalkeeper.

The no-nonsense German has been taking names on his Twitter this morning, first calling out former rival Neville before turning his attention to former teammate Carragher.

23-year-old Liverpool goalkeeper Karius was at fault for West Ham's equaliser at Anfield yesterday, and has conceded six goals from the last nine shots on target he has faced. He was similarly poor last week, and spoke out against Gary Neville's criticism of his performance midweek - something both Carragher and Phil Neville were quick to criticise on both Sky Sports' Super Sunday and BBC's Match of the Day 2.

Not one to mince his words, Hamann took to Twitter to fire back in Karius' defence, first describing Phil Neville's comments as "disrespectful".

Hamann also later retweeted this:

A punditry civil war might yet be upon us, because Carragher has responded in kind to his former teammate. This one could continue long into the evening.
