Liverpool had a nightmare in their Sunday afternoon trip to Vicarage Road, taking a beating at the hands of high-flying Watford.
Before the game, news broke that Liverpool goalkeeper Simon Mignolet would miss the game through injury, and backup keeper Adam Bogdan was called upon to deputise, but a howler just three minutes in resulted in a goal for Chelsea loanee Nathan Ake, which meant that Jurgen Klopp's men were on the backfoot from the off.
It quickly spread that Bodgan had been jinxed by the official Liverpool snapchat account:

Some shocking individual performances from the likes of Mamadou Sakho, Martin Skrtel, and Roberto Firmino then prompted former Liverpool midfielder and occasional RTÉ pundit Didi Hamman to declare the squad not good enough, and engage in a debate with a number of his Liverpool supporting followers.
Liverpool got a new manager but the players are still the same. Didn't finish 7th or 8th last season for no reason.

They don't need throwing. They do it themselves half the time. Lost for words and I'm not talking just about today. https://t.co/85QMvVEehk

@DietmarHamann as a player can you explain how you go from performances away to chel, city and southmptn to today's performance???

They are a better team when they haven't got the ball. https://t.co/wIMoTnOO6t

The point that Hamann is making is that he believes that it doesn't matter who is in charge, the current Liverpool squad doesn't have the talent to break into the top four.
He also points the finger of blame at Brendan Rodgers for recruiting many of the players currently at the club.
Do you agree with him Liverpool fans? The current squad has shown clear signs of improvement under Klopp, but it seems as though it will take a few transfer windows before he can truly mould the team to his liking and avoid results like the one they suffered today.
