The ever reliable Didi Hamann produced a typical no-nonsense description of England's turgid 0-0 draw with the USA this evening.
The USA will feel like they were the better team, with Christian Pulisic hitting the crossbar, while England manager Gareth Southgate came in for a lot of criticism for putting on Jordan Henderson instead of Phil Foden.
"We probably over-estimated that result against Iran," said Didi. "We saw today that Iran is a good side. But that was desperate stuff today.
"Then to bring Henderson on. A player like Foden, I just wonder. If you want to win the World Cup I think you need Phil Foden at some stage.
"Foden now, he'll be in the shower before the manager even comes in the dressing room, because he'll be thinking what else has to happen for me to come on.
And it was lacklustre, no imagination, no urgency, no nothing. And they were lucky, if US had a cutting edge they would have won the game and probably should have won the game.

After the match, England captain Harry Kane discussed the game, and was adamant that a draw was a decent result.
"Wasn't the best performance for sure. Good spells with the ball, but we didn't quite have the final product. Clean sheet puts us in a great position in the group.
"They pressed well, they made it difficult. At times we dealt with it well, we respect them. A draw isn't bad for us. We look forward to the next one.
"We know we can play better than that, a draw in a World Cup isn't bad, no game is easy. After our first performance people think we'll landslide everything but it's not the case. We played a good side but it's not what we came here for."
