Roy Keane is up in court in Manchester at the moment. Just to prove it, here he is arriving earlier today looking rather sharp.

The Ireland assistant manager is accused of disorderly behaviour in Altrincham, Cheshire on January 30th. During today's trial, Manchester Magistrates Court heard that Keane flicked a 'v' sign and shouted aggressively after taxi driver, Fateh Kerar, told him to smile.

Kerar is said to have made a gesture with his hands which indicated that Keane should smile. The taxi driver then drove off but Keane followed him in his black 4x4 before catching up with him at a set of traffic lights.

The court heard that Keane then got out of the vehicle, delivered the aforementioned 'v' sign and began shouting and waving his arms before returning to his car and driving off.

Keane himself was then called to give evidence and, after joking about his management career, he refuted the majority of the taxi driver's evidence.

The judge was quick to deliver a judgement and it was one of not guilty, with the reasoning given being that the prosecution's evidence was 'riven with inconsistencies'.
