Derry City weren't flattered by a 2-1 winning scoreline in Dalymount Park on Friday evening; any threat Bohemians possessed should have been put to bed by half-time.
Playing fluid, passing football, Kenny Shiels side lit up the first-half and were unlucky not to go in at the break more than two goals ahead.
In a significantly more dour second-half, Bohemians were relentless - but rarely pinpoint - in their efforts at clawing something back from a game that looked beyond them.
Ultimately, Derry would hold on. In that opening half however, Shiels men pulled off a wonderful move for their first goal of the night.
With Rory Hale pulling the ball down on the sideline, it sound found its way to Aaron McEniff. Beautifully turning on the ball to leave his close marker for dead, with the outside of his foot he fed the ball back into the path of Hale who finished the chance wonderfully.
"The best play of the match" according to Brian Kerr, the former Irish manager was keen to praise the "magnificent skill" of McEniff.
