We featured the Snooker World Championships earlier in the week and sadly we have to revisit the 1980's sport for similar reasons. Steve Davis like his chosen sport was big in the 80's and like Federer he had a nemisis in Denis Taylor.

These past few weeks has seen Davis enjoy something of a renaissance in the game, beating the defending world champion and giving the sport a much needed boost as it struggles for ratings with Formula One and prisoner cell block h. So, you'd think an announcer at his next game would remember his name - us too
