The major talking point to come from the first half of Monday night's clash between Tottenham Hotspur and West Brom was not the own goal that saw Mauricio Pochettino's men leading 1-0 at half time, but rather a moment of madness from Dele Alli.

As Claudio Yacob ran across his path, Alli landed a blow to his midriff and the two exchanged words after. It was a blatant punch from Alli.
Anyone who has seen West Brom's Claudio Yacob play before will know that he really enjoys winding his opponents up, but Alli took the bait and lashed out and now he will surely face a ban after retrospective punishment from the FA.
But what was most remarkable about this incident, was that Graeme Souness had predicted it in the pre-match build up.
Speaking about how impressed he was with Alli in the pre-match build-up and right before himself and Carragher picked their combined Spurs/Leicester XI's, Souness claimed that he liked the fire he had in him, but was sure that it would spill over eventually:
Now, Alli wasn't sent off, but he should have been, and the fact that Souness was discussing the idea of Alli squaring up to an opponent and lashing out about 45 minutes before it actually happened is remarkable.
Clearly Graeme Souness' time as a player means he can now means he can see acts of aggression coming before they happen.
Incredible.
