In a Q&A with young Everton fans, Seamus Coleman has said that he hopes to go back to playing Gaelic football before he has to hang up his boots for good. He famously played GAA underage for local team C.L.G. Na Cealla Beaga in Killybegs as well as in the Donegal underage set-up before switching to professional football full-time with Sligo Rovers. Coleman also divulged he enjoys a cheeky lie-in before a match and spends his off-time playing FIFA just like the rest of us.
When asked about his plans after his career Coleman replied;
I haven't thought too much about it, I'm really enjoying my time playing in England and in the Premier League but I'm a homebird, I like to get home as much as I can.
I think when I retire I'll definitely move back to Ireland and we'll see what I do from there.
When asked what he'd do if he wasn't a football player he answered;
I played another sport back home which was Gaelic Football. It obviously wouldn't be a job, it'd be a hobby as such and it's something I can hopefully play again.
