With West Ham United featuring on Sky Sports for this evening's Friday night Premier League fixture, Gary Neville was ushered out around Brighton & Hove Albion's Amex Stadium to speak to the travelling fans.
Having endured a difficult start to the season, the London club have recently begun to deliver on expectations.
Signing a number of high-profile players to add to what already was a promising looking squad, the recruitment of Manuel Pellegrini only served to add to this excitement.
After overcoming Everton at Goodison Park and drawing 0-0 with an impressive Chelsea side, Pellegrini's men won 3-1 against a beleaguered Manchester United last weekend.
Leaving everything looking a little bit rosier, Gary Neville wanted to determine who the fans believed to be responsible for this turnaround.
With some praise going toward Pellegrini, Marco Arnautovic and Andriy Yarmolenko, it was the indecisive Declan Rice who has been particularly popular recently.
Gary Neville: Any players that have caught your eye in particular over the last few weeks?
Fan #1: Obviously Arnautovic, he's our star man. But Declan Rice, he's picked up so well.
Fan #2: Declan Rice is quality. I think he showed last year he has the potential to play in the first-team. With him Pedro Obiang and Mark Noble, hopefully we'll be solid.
Having spent most of his youth career as an a West Ham player, Rice has confirmed his breakthrough to the first-team this time out.
Although Neville didn't spend all that long out among the fans by the look of it, it is certainly intriguing that those who were asked vouched for the importance of Rice almost without exception.
