Ireland take on Poland at the Municipal Stadium in Wroclaw tonight with kick off set for 7.45pm. Ahead of that Martin O'Neill has handed first starts to Enda Stevens and Shaun Williams.

Millwall's Aiden O'Brien is also set to make his Ireland debut after a promising start to the season in the Championship while Darren Randolph will once again start in goals.

Declan Rice and Harry Arter are out for obvious reasons, James McClean, Alan Browne, Shane Long, Robbie Brady, Seani Maguire, Scott Hogan and James McCarthy are longer-term absentees from Martin O'Neill's selection.

It has been a controversial week for O'Neill's reign. During yesterday's press conference he addressed the Stephen Ward WhatsApp message that emerged on social media while also defending Roy Keane's role in the team. Given that atmosphere, a positive result tonight would be much welcomed.
