Thomas Delaney plays for FC Copenhagen as a midfielder alongside Jesper Gronkjaer. He is yet to play at senior level with Denmark so there is hope.

He played the full time in a match in Champions League Qualification against FK Mogren. In this his international debut he even scored a goal. His first Superliga match was on 9 August 2009 against SønderjyskE, where he replaced Atiba Hutchinson in second half's stoppage time.

On 3 November 2009, Delaney was named the Danish Under-19 Player of the Year – a prestigious award previously won by players as Jon Dahl Tomasson, Jesper Grønkjær, Peter Løvenkrands and Simon Kjær.
