On Tuesday afternoon, following Monday night's suicide bomb attack in Manchester, ITV News spoke to a homeless man named Steve who had assisted the victims of the atrocity.

Steve, full name Stephen Jones, told of how he had helped those in need in the aftermath of the attack.

It’s just instinct to go and help if someone needed your help and it was children with blood all over them and crying and screaming.

We were having to pull nails out of their arms and a couple out of this little girl’s face.

Some lady, she got cut from her side here, so my mate had to hold her legs up and then an ambulance guy came and a fireman and they assisted after that. We just held her legs up because we though she was just going to bleed right out.

It had to be done, you had to help, if I didn't help I wouldn't be able to live with myself for walking away and leaving kids like that.

News of Steve's heroics soon reached West Ham co-owner David Sullivan who told BBC Radio 5 Live that he wanted to help the homeless man.

It looks like he needs some help, so we are desperate to find who he is and give him six months free accommodation and a little bit of money to help him on his way.

Sullivan's son also put a plea out Twitter looking for anyone who could put him and his father in contact with Steve.

On Wednesday evening, Sullivan Jnr. announced on Twitter that Steve had been located and he and his father would help change the 35-year-old's life.
