If you, like me, had Manchester City attacking midfielder David Silva in your fantasy football lineup for the first gameweek of the Premier League season, then you would have been arguing to the death that Yaya Toure's first goal against West Brom should have been awarded to the Spaniard, who got a clear touch on it.
Ok, it wasn't that clear, it was probably one of the more dubious dubious goals for the dubious goals panel as it seemed to have grazed the inside of his boot on the way to the goal, but Silva managers felt robbed none-the-less.
Well, now it seems as though the Premier League have screwed us David Silva owners big time, as they have today revealed that upon further inspection, the goal has been credited to Silva.
GOAL ACCREDITATION PANEL @MCFC’s 1st goal against West Brom was in fact a @21LVA goal and has not been credited to @YayaToure

But that's good news, right?
Wrong.
The goal has been awarded to Silva, but it's too late to change the awarded points in fantasy football.
That's right, your player scored in fantasy football, but you're not getting the points. This is the single greatest injustice the World has ever seen. Is travesty too strong a word? No, no it's not.
Have a listen to the Balls.ie Fantasy Football Podcast below, we'll be discussing this absolute farce on next week's show.
