David Moyes has picked off a member of the Manchester press pack for the first time after news emerged last night that the Daily Mirror's David "Disco" McDonnell has been banned from attending Manchester United press conferences. McDonnell has been privy to the Manchester United teamsheet more than an hour before it's officially released for the past few weeks and Moyes has acted by removing his seat at Carrington.

While this is a tiring and ridiculous move on many levels and once again raises the question as to how a club can ban a reporter for the heinous crime of reporting, it does lead to an altogether more interesting question; just who is the mole feeding McDonnell news? And why?

This kind of palace intrigue just didn't happen under the last guy.
