"Not a viewpoint you hear expressed too often"
That's certainly one way to describe David James' opinion about David de Gea. After the summer-long transfer saga that saw de Gea almost going to Real Madrid, most regard the Spaniard as one of the best goalkeepers in the world.
But there's someone on this earth who doesn't even think that de Gea is the best goalkeeper in the Manchester United squad. Former England keeper David James is of the opinion that Manchester United are more stable at the back with Sergio Romero in goal - pointing to his record before de Gea came back into the team. James acknowledges that de Gea makes some brilliant athletic saves - but United tend to conceded more goals with him in goal than Romero.
James doesn't even think that Real Madrid wanted de Gea that much, and that's why the transfer didn't go through in the end.
It seems all a bit much, but what do you make of James' claims?
