Jerome Champagne, Prince Ali Bin Al Hussein, Harold Mayne-Nicholls. Not exactly names you can get excited about when it comes to the people who are challenging Sepp Blatter for the FIFA presidency.
Another, sexier candidate has emerged though.
A spokesperson for David Ginola, the former Newcastle and Spurs midfielder, yesterday announced that the Frenchman is hoping to challenge Sepp Blatter's 16-year reign as president of football's governing body.
The spokesperson said:
We will be looking for the full support of Uefa and five football associations.
Along with the support of five national associations, Ginola will also have to prove that he has been actively involved in football for two of the last five years.
Where his candidacy may fall down though, and it may not even get off the starting blocks due to this, is the identity of his financial backer - Paddy Power.
The bookmaker is infamous for its stunts and undoubtedly many will simply view this as being another example.
All nominations for election must be submitted by January 29th.
