Manchester United fans won't be thrilled with this.

While Ed Woodward fights with everything he can do try and keep David De Gea at Old Trafford for at least another season, most Man United supporters have resigned themselves to losing their star keeper.

They certainly expect some movement in Madrid, as the Real Madrid fans have actually used the unveiling of new signing Danilo, a right-back who has arrived from Porto, to let the board know that they want De Gea between the sticks at the Bernabeu. As Danilo was being presented, chants of "DE GEA!" broke out according to AS.com:

A good portion of the 600 Real Madrid supporters who attended the presentation of Danilo chanted in favour of the signing of David de Gea during the event. The message to the Real Madrid president was clear: they want to see the Manchester United goalkeeper enlisted in the ranks of the 10-time European champions.

The latest rumours would have you believe that Ed Woodward is refusing to discuss the sale of De Gea until Real Madrid play ball over Sergio Ramos, but he want's to keep the deals separate.

This is without a doubt a saga that will drag out for the majority of the Summer.

By the way, poor Danilo.
