Kerry dynamo David Clifford is a noted Celtic supporter and he was at Parkhead today as Celtic rumbled into the festive season with an emphatic 2-0 victory over Livingston.
Kyogo Furahashi and former Arklow Town FC player Liam Scales scored two second half goals as Celtic moved 5 points clear atop the SPL with two games in hand on old rivals Rangers.
It was a brilliant moment for Scales, who netted his first goal of the season for the Hoops.

Been a real bright spark for Brendan Rodgers’s side despite a poor spell in recent weeks☘️

Celtic were in the unusual position of having lost league two games on the bounce, but the result today will provide a bit of positivity heading into the second Old Firm derby of the season in seven days time.
After the match, Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers discussed the 'strange' feeling of the position Celtic were in heading into the game with Sportsound.
"It felt strange as a Celtic manager to be in that position. But you have to respond and you can do your talking on the pitch, and I thought the players did that really well today.
"They probably didn't get the goals they deserved. But from the off you could see the tempo and intensity was much better."

David Clifford meets Brendan Rodgers
On top of going home with three badly-needed points, Antrim man Brendan Rodgers also was the recipient of a brand-new Kerry jersey, signed by arguably the best gaelic footballer of all time, David Clifford.

It's not David Clifford's first time at Parkhead; in fact he's a massive supporter of the club. Back in 2022, in the aftermath of Kerry's All-Ireland final win, Clifford lead a contingent of Kerry footballers including Adrian and Killian Spillane to Parkhead where they met Celtic boss Ange Postecoglu ahead of a famous Celtic 4-0 thrashing of Rangers in an Old Firm Derby

Clifford's Celtic fandom runs so deep he told a GAA programme maker in 2020 the person on earth he'd most like to meet is former Hoops striker Odsonne Edouard.

We're not sure if he's met the French striker yet, but his greatness with Kerry means he's already met two Celtic managers, which isn't bad going.
