David Beckham has told Noel Gallagher that Manchester United's 1999 Treble will be considered more significant than Manchester City's, should the Premier League champions win the Champions League final this week.
Man City secured leg two of their Treble on Saturday, as they added the 2023 FA Cup to the league title they clinched a few weeks ago.
Beckham and Gallagher were just two of the star-studded crowd at Wembley on Saturday, with the former cheering on his old club, and the latter supporting their arch-rivals.
A win over Inter Milan on Saturday will mean that City have matched the achievement of Man United's 1999 team, of which Beckham was a part, but the former England captain has suggested that nothing can take away the fact that the Red Devils did it first.
“There’s only one club that can win it for the first time…” 👀

David Beckham sets Noel Gallagher right on Treble bid
"To win the Treble the way we won it, and also for the first time, can never be done again," he said, in an interview prior to kick-off on Saturday.
"That moment, of lifting all three trophies, you always want other players to feel that, so if these guys get to do that, it will be an amazing moment for them.
"But, like I said to Noel, there's only one team that's won it for the first time."
1999 v 2023
Man United's run to the Treble was characterised by dramatic moments and epic goals, none more so than Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's strike in the dying seconds of the Champions League Final against Bayern Munich.
The winning mentality instilled into them by manager Alex Ferguson has gone down in football folklore, with the team remembered as never knowing when it was beaten.
On the other hand, the sheer strength of the current Man City side means that their Treble charge has been regarded as less exciting by some, although that shouldn't take away from the achievement if they manage to reach their goal this weekend.
The 2023 Champions League final kicks off at 8pm on Saturday night, and will be broadcast live on the LiveScore app.
