The most famous penalty in FA Cup history. Poor John Aldridge stepped up against little old Wimbledon and saw his spot-kicked turned away by Dave Beasant. Wimbledon went on to win an FA Cup final that no one gave them a chance in.
Not many have forgot, least of all the Wimbledon keeper on the day. Beasant was also a Chelsea hero between 1989 and 1993 and the club have trotted him out at Stamford Bridge during half-time of the Chelsea vs Liverpool Capital One Cup semi final this evening.
Liverpool fans played the part of the away fans just as they are supposed to but Beasant has had the upper hand once more.
Dave Beasant being brought on as Chelsea's half-time hero - not reached the Liverpool fans yet.

Beasant now mimics saving John Aldridge's penalty in the 1988 FA Cup Final in front of Liverpool's fans - then punches the air in triumph.
