Dundalk midfielder Daryl Horgan has been linked with a transfer to English Championship club Brighton.

According to Paul Lennon in today's Irish Daily Star, the Damien Duff lookalike could move after Dundalk's clash with Cork City in this weekend's FAI Cup final.

Brighton, currently top of the Championship, are managed by former Ireland international Chris Hughton.

Horgan - just off the back of winning another title with Dundalk - is thought to have turned down an 'attractive' contract offer from the League of Ireland champions.

The midfielder grabbed nine goals in the league for his side this season.

One of Horgan's teammates have also been linked with moves across the water. Richie Towell, the top scorer in the League of Ireland this season, has also been touted as a transfer target for Brighton along with League Two side Bristol Rovers in recent days.
