Daryl Horgan was one of four debutants in Ireland's soporific defeat to Iceland at the Aviva Stadium last night, with his introduction on the hour mark stirring the crowd to their loudest cheer of the night. More important than the time of his introduction will be the date: March 28th 2017 is sure to be remembered by Irish fans if Horgan is to go on to achieve what we think he is capable of.

Ambition won't be an issue judging by his post-game interview with the FAI's in-house YouTube channel, FAITV. When asked by the interviewer what he expected of his Irish career, Horgan replied:
150 caps and a World Cup!
