Liverpool dropped two more points away from home last night as they drew 2-2 against Aston Villa, and Darwin Nunez missed a golden opportunity to win the game.
Mo Salah had put Liverpool 1-0 up, before Villa turned it around to make it 2-1 before half time, and a Trent Arnold-Alexander goal equalised with more than 20 minutes to go.
Nunez was then called upon, and found himself in a brilliant situation as Dominick Szoboszlai squared the ball to him with an open goal, only for the Uruguay striker to hit it over the bar.
Speaking after the game, Reds' manager Arne Slot said that he can accept when players miss an opportunity like that, but he did struggle with Nunez' behaviour after the shot.

“There’s one player in the dressing room who feels quite down and I think you know who that is.
“Szoboszlai made the perfect choice to pass it. It was a big chance.
“Very unlucky and I was hoping he could have got another one, because a player like him probably wouldn’t miss two chances in a row, he was very close afterwards.
“They are all very disappointed but it is normal that when a player misses a chance like this that they would be more disappointed.”
“A miss that I can accept, what is harder to accept, his behaviour after the chance. That miss is got too much in his head where he is the usual Darwin that works his a** off.
“I think he was too disappointed after missing that chance.”
Things don't get any easier for Liverpool as they travel to The Etihad this Sunday to play Man City in what has become a must-win game for the league leaders.
Arsenal will be licking their lips after seeing Slot's men drop points away to Everton and Villa in the past week, and if they can keep the pressure on, then the title race will be very close indeed.
