The USA take on Ireland tonight in a friendly which if nothing else gives us ample reason to revel in the wonder that is US soccer. They've become a lot of people's second favourite country to support, including yours truly.
Here are just a few reasons why they're a great bunch of lads.
Well there's the Robbie Keane backheel flicks thing...
This one is so fresh off the presses that it's still warm. Last week's FOX Soccer promo for Ireland v Scotland was all sorts of great. Particularly when she started talking about Robbie Keane's 'Backheel flicks and emotional pleas to the referee.'
Their promos in general
This is a perfect example from the World Cup of one of the many genuinely brilliant promos that are typically Hollywoodesque.
This interview with Darren Huckerby
We couldn't resist this interview with a 'legend' who scored 'the greatest goal ever.'
Surprise bonus football

Over-enthusiastic reporters
Introducing Drew Carney. He lost his shit this summer.
The bloody brilliant ESPN end of World Cup montage
This is my favourite football montage by a distance. I regularly go back and watch it again before retiring to the corner and curling up in the fetal position, yearning for the return of the World Cup.
