Some big name Irish players have been on the move this evening, with the likes of Troy Parrott and Jake O'Brien among the footballers that have switched clubs in recent weeks. That list is only likely to grow before the end of the transfer window, with quite a few other Ireland internationals linked with Premier League moves.
Sammie Szmodics remains at the top of that list, with the Blackburn Rovers forward said to be keen on a move to Ipswich Town. The two clubs are yet to agree a deal although it has been suggested that they are close to coming to sorting out a fee.
Another interesting case is Dara O'Shea.
The Dubliner impressed with Burnley last season, although the club were ultimately comfortably relegated from the Premier League. At 25-years old, he might well look to build on that campaign by staying in the English top flight for the 2024/25 season.
He had been linked with Celtic in recent times, but it now seems as though he could be about to join a Premier League side.

Dara O'Shea reportedly set for shock Premier League move
HITC are reporting that Brentford are in negotiations to sign Dara O'Shea from Burnley, having already had two bids turned down for the Irishman. The second of those was valued at around £7million, although it is suggested that the clubs are closing in agreeing a feee for the player.
Football Insider suggest that O'Shea was also of interest to Ipswich Town, but the player had rejected that opportunity in order to pursue a move to Brentford.
This move has seemingly emerged relatively out of the blue, with there having been few links between O'Shea and Tomas Frank's side in recent months.
Were he to join the London club, he would link up with Ireland teammate Nathan Collins at the back. Those two looked to be forming a decent partnership at international level in recent times, with the possibility of them lining out together in the Premier League on a weekly basis something that would surely appeal to new Irish boss Heimir Hallgrimsson.
This is one to keep a close eye on over the coming days.
