Sunday's win over Leeds could be a big one for Manchester United. Heading into a very difficult part of their fixture schedule, they needed to collect all three points at Elland Road in order to remain in a decent position in the top four race.
It was not a comfortable afternoon for Ralf Rangnick's team, who gave up a 2-0 halftime lead to allow the home side to level the game. However, goals from Fred and Anthony Elanga would ensure the three points were secured.
There were plenty of celebrations among the Manchester United squad, understandable when you consider the opponent and the way the 90 minutes had developed. In saying that, not all were impressed with the way they conducted themselves after the game.
Danny Murphy not impressed by Manchester United's Leeds celebrations
Speaking on talkSPORT, former Liverpool midfielder Danny Murphy said that the way the Manchester United players celebrated after the Leeds game was an example of just how far the club have fallen in recent years.
😳 “Man Utd celebrated that win at #LUFC like they had won the title.”
🤷♂️ “They should beat #BHAFC and Leeds! They’ve spend most in the PL!”
👊 “The expectations at Manchester United have got to be higher…”

The thing I can say about United is this is how far they have come, and it's a shame because they are a brilliant club. They were celebrating that win at Leeds to celebrate that fourth position for the time being like they had won the title.
I was watching going 'ok, passion and emotion, I get it', but this is Man United. They're now in fourth, well done boys you've won at Leeds who have conceded the second most goals in the Premier League.
They should be beating Leeds and Brighton. They've spent the most money in the league, but are celebrating fourth position and talking about 'a couple of months ago we wouldn't have won this game'. Come on.
The expectations have got to be higher...
To be honest, this feeling that United have won two in a week and now are in fourth and everything is alright again, I don't concur with that.
Rangnick's side currently occupy fourth position in the Premier League, although they have played three more games than Arsenal and Spurs who sit just behind them in the table.
With games against Antonio Conte's side, as well as Manchester City and Liverpool in the weeks ahead, they will be desperate to still be hanging onto that spot by the time the March international window rolls around.
