In what is some poorly timed news to filter out of the England camp post-Iceland humiliation, both Danny Baker and the Daily Mail's recent evisceration of the entire national team, Daniel Sturridge has admitted to spraying fragrance on his kit before matches because "fragrance probably shows people who you are as much as clothes does."

Somewhere, Bobby Moore is turning in his grave.

Speaking to GQ Magazine, the Liverpool striker also said that he wouldn't be able to go with out his special Body Shop strawberry moisturiser either:

People think it's strange but I like smelling it. To be honest, I'd say moisturiser [is my biggest luxury]. I really like the Body Shop one - strawberry. I just don't like being dry. I need my skin to feel smoothe and moisturised.

You would have to wonder what Liverpool alumni Graeme Souness and Razor Ruddock would make of this but we're fairly confident they wouldn't approve.
