There are 'confidence' players, and there are 'confident' players. Daniel Sturridge is almost certainly in the latter category. And he needs to be. He is so prone to injury-having missed almost 80 games with injury in his Liverpool career alone-that if he didn't have a natural sense of self-confidence, he would struggle to establish himself on the few occasions when he does get on to the pitch.
So when Sturridge paused his warm-up routine on the touchline and glanced up to witness Divock Origi coming on in the 69th minute (instead of him), he wasn't happy.
He looked like he'd just smelt Jamie Carragher's socks.
That look from Daniel Sturridge.

Sturridge wit the mean mug face when Origi got on the pitch instead of him

Former England striker Gary Lineker perhaps made the point that Sturridge himself would make if asked for his honest opinion on falling behind Origi and Roberto Firmino in the Liverpool striking pecking order.
Don't know what's going on with @DanielSturridge at Liverpool, but I do know, when fit he'll score a lot more goals than Firmino or Origi.

Approx' career goal scoring ratios: Origi 1in 5. Firmino 1 in 4. Sturridge 1 in 2.5. 🙄 https://t.co/SSLQOWllYY

In fairness to Klopp, he did put Sturridge on the 88th minute.
At least he didn't get injured.
