When it comes to the most talented up and coming strikers in world football at the moment, Evan Ferguson is right at the top of the list.
Despite having just turned 19-years old, the Brighton man has already won an incredible amount of plaudits for his performances in the Premier League. He recently became the first teenager since Wayne Rooney to score double digits goals in the division in a calendar year, having already become only the fourth 18-year old to score a hat-trick in the competition earlier this season.
Considering all of that, it is not surprising to hear that Europe's biggest clubs are keeping a close eye on his progress. It is already expected that he will fetch a fee in excess of £100million when he eventually does leave Brighton.

Sturridge's Evan Ferguson comment leads to Jamie Carragher quip
There is a bit of a dearth of genuine top class no. 9s in Europe's to five leagues at the moment, something that makes Evan Ferguson an even more intriguing prospect.
Speaking on Sky Sports last night, Daniel Sturridge named the Irishman alongside Ivan Toney as the two strikers top Premier League clubs should be looking to sign.
Evan Ferguson is another one. I believe he has that killer instinct and the way he scores and finishes.
I look at him and can see he is driven by goals and wants to do it.
He would go on to say that his comments would not make him popular with Brighton supporters, something that led to a hilarious quip from Jamie Carragher.
The former Liverpool defender joked that Sturridge better get used to not being liked if he is to continue his career in punditry.

When you're a pundit, everyone is mad at you!
Don't worry about it, everyone can't stand me!
It is certainly a role that courts criticism from just about every club that you comment on.
As for Evan Ferguson, he will not be thinking of leaving Brighton just yet as he continues to improve week by week at the Amex.
