It looks like tonight's Champions League final will be Dani Alves' last in the colours of Barcelona. The Brazilian who has arguably been one of the best right backs of the last decade looks set to leave the Catalan club at the end of his contract according to reports in Spain.
The Daily Star is reporting that Alves is headed to the Premier League. As Louis Van Gaal continues his overhaul at Old Trafford, Alves has emerged as one of his top targets. The suggestion is that Van Gaal has gotten his man.
Manchester United were rumoured to be interested in Southampton's Nathaniel Clyne, but their interest has cooled, and it seems as though Alves' impending move is the reason for that.
Alves is set to move to Old Trafford on July 1st when his Barcelona contract officially runs out, and should become their second signing of the summer after the capture of Memphis Depay from PSV Eindhoven.
