It was a summer of disappointment and change for Alves. He captained Brazil as they exited the Copa America at the group stage. He also departed Barcelona, on a free transfer to Juventus, after eight years at the club.
The 33-year-old doesn't appear to have allowed that letdown with his country affect him too badly however.
