Liverpool have just recorded one of their most famous victories in recent times as they dominated the Spanish champions Real Madrid at Anfield last night.
The Reds were the superior side as they ran out 2-0 winners following goals from Alexis Mac Alister and Cody Gakpo, but the home side were immense from the beginning.
Mo Salah missed a penalty, causing a bit of a stir because following his two goals at the weekend in their victory over Southampton, the striker revealed in an interview that Liverpool have no offered him a contract.
Former players like Jamie Carragher were critical of this decision, claiming that it added pressure on the team as they prepare to face the European champions, but other than the penalty miss, Salah and CO were in fine form.
Speaking on Virgin Media Sport after the game, Damien Delaney believe that Liverpool are trying to avoid a situation like Man United and Casemiro, where they pay huge money for a legendary player, but due to his age, isn't performing like he once was.

"It's a power play, that's what it is. The club have not been in contact and he has come out now and put the club in a position where they have to react.
"The club have to be careful, but maybe Mo Salah might need to compromise as well. If he wants a three-year deal, on a huge amount of money and the club are like 'we're not 100% sure,' we saw with Kyle Walker how quickly the end can come.
"So maybe a bump in money now, and a new 18 -month deal, so he gets the bump in money that he is looking for, and he gets it for 18 months.
"Maybe that is a compromise on his end as well, maybe he doesn't want to hear that, maybe he wants a three-year deal, but I think Liverpool have to protect the football club.
"They don't want to be lumbered with a Casemiro type player. They need to guard against that, and Liverpool have been brilliant with their signings.
"If they go down the road of making exceptions - like in football, once you make an exception for one, then you have others knocking on the door as well.
"If he loves Liverpool half as much as he says he does, then maybe there is a little compromise in it for him as well."
Salah isn't the only one waiting to get his future sorted at Liverpool as both Virgil van Dijk and Trent Alexander-Arnold are also in the last year of their contracts.
As it stands all three players are set to leave at the end of the season, but the uncertainty surrounding them certainly doesn't seem to be affecting the team's performances.
