Would you get away out of that.
Yes, the Daily Mail really did report that Bayern Munich are putting together a bid which would see Bayern Munich be so desperate to land Angel Di Maria that they would hand over Arjen Robben, Thomas Muller and cash to Man United in exchange for the Argentine winger.
Just have a think about that for a quick second.
Don't get us wrong, we're all amenable to a bit of transfer bullshit from time to time for pure entertainment if nothing else, but a line has to be drawn somewhere. That line is half a world away from this new record for complete and utter transfer bullshittery.
According to the Mail;
German newspaper Bild suggest Pep Guardiola is ready to sanction the incredible deal to land the 27 year old as Bayern look to rebuild ahead of a big season for the Bundesliga giants.
Fair enough you might say, they're just reporting what a German newspaper has said for the sake of a sensationalist headline, nothing particularly wrong with that. Only that's not actually what's happened here.
We've done a bit of digging and found where this rumour has come from.
It seems it's all started yesterday with a twitter account named @UliBeckerBILD. Seems legit, Uli must be a Bild journalist who's tweeted a big scoop that's going to appear in tomorrow's paper. Jump on it.
Except, as you may have guessed by now, @UliBeckerBILD is not a journalist for the German newspaper, in fact, it's not even a twitter account anymore. It seems the tweet was sent and it quickly gained some traction.

Muller and Robben AND €20M for Di Maria. Sure. Give us Pep's torn pants from last season too. https://t.co/R7BM8JAq1K

Uli then decided he'd had enough fun and his account was deleted, but not before the rumour spiralled where it ended up on the Daily Mail and the BBC's transfer gossip page where they link to Bild's homepage because, surprise surprise, they couldn't actually find the 'original' story.
