This morning, Borussia Dortmund confirmed that Marc Bartra has undergone surgery for a broken arm from the terrible bombing of the team bus yesterday evening. You can only imagine when the terror when the explosion happened. With the game set to be played this evening, the media have tried to keep agonised football fans up to date with the latest info from Dortmund ahead, and some are doing a better job than others.
The following tweet, which went up around 10pm last night and somehow stayed up on the Mail's twitter feed for 13 hours, gives readers a pretty decent idea of who was sitting where on the Dortmund bus last night. If you were curious where, say, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp or injured Man City midfielder Ilkay Gundogan or Bayern striker Robert Lewandowski or Bayern defender Mats Hummels or Inter's Ivan Perisic was sitting last night, you can find them here.
Sadly you won't find Marc Bartra's seat because he doesn't appear on this roster. Readers on social media reckoned that the map is a 2012 rendering of the Dortmund squad. They were not kind to the British content machine. (We're also trying to verify whether physio Peter Kuhnt is a real person)
If ever there was a case for using the thinking face emoji, it was this.
Gundogan, Błaszczykowski, Lewandowski, Klopp? 🤔🤔🤔

The tweet was mercifully deleted around 11am this morning.
