The Daily Mail have undertaken the tough task of ranking the 50 best players on the continent under the age of 23.
These lists exist to cause debate and discussion, and while for the most part this particular list looks good, there are always going to be a few names omitted and a few players given higher rankings than some would expect.
Coming in at #1, and the Daily Mail's best young player in Europe is Dele Alli. The Tottenham Hotspur man has had two excellent seasons domestically, and certainly deserves to be very high on this list, but is he the best around?
Also an eyebrow-raiser was the placing of Celtic sensation Moussa Dembele, as while we are massive fans of him and he unquestionably belongs in this discussion, at #11 he is the highest placed striker on the list, ahead of Marcus Rashford of Manchester United.
John Stones is also far too high based on what he has shown, and especially considering two Serie A starlets in Alessio Romagnoli and Daniele Rugani did not make the list at all.
Our last major gripe is Fulham's 16-year-old wonderkid Ryan Sessegnon. Seemingly on the verge of a move to Liverpool, turned heads in the Championship this season but is rated higher than Marcus Rashford, Marquinhos of PSG, and Naby Keita, all of whom have done far more in leagues of higher quality.
But as we said, it's supposed to cause a debate and by-and-large it's a solid list. Here it is in full from #50 - #1.

1 - Dele Alli - Tottenham, 21, Midfielder
With all the (justified) buzz around Kylian Mbappe at the moment it is perhaps a surprise to see him outside of the top three, and Gianluigi Donnaruma being an established top level goalkeeper already means he would have run Alli close for number one.
Feel free to get in touch and tell us your top three.
