Rangers' hopes of progressing from their Europa League group hit a slight snag last night, with the Scottish club only managing a draw against bottom side Aris Limassol at Ibrox.

While Philippe Clement's side had lost the meeting between those two sides in Cyprus, they would have been expecting to pick up all three points on home soil. Their supporters were certainly confident of a victory, with many of them predicting a big scoreline in favour of Rangers in the buildup to the fixture.

However, they would require a Ross McCausland strike in the second half in order to secure a 1-1 draw. The result means that they remain in second place in the group, although they will now travel to table toppers Real Betis in the final round of games needing a victory in order to ensure that they advance to the knockout stages.

Aris Limassol had had quite a difficult Europa League campaign up to this point, losing their three games against Real Betis and Sparta Prague. In saying that, they seem to have Rangers' number after picking up four points from their two meetings with the Scottish club.

They certainly enjoyed last night's result, using the opportunity to poke fun at their opponents on their twitter account.

It all started with a thank you to Real Betis for not sharing information on how to beat them ahead of the fixture, with the Spanish side having picked up two routine victories over the club in recent weeks.

They would then switch their focus to the Rangers fans.

The club's twitter account would share a number of predictions that were made ahead of the game, all of which predicted a heavy victory for the home side.

They would also get into it with a Graeme Souness parody account.

In fact, they had picked a fight with that particular account before a ball was even kicked in Glasgow.

This result could yet prove to be a disastrous one for Rangers. If they fail to beat Real Betis in their final game, a win for Sparta Prague away at Arial Limassol would see them eliminated from the competition.
