Sky Sports news have revealed that Chelsea are in talks to bring one of the shining stars from the 2014 World Cup to Stamford Bridge in the January transfer window.
As if Chelsea's squad wasn't strong enough, the infamous 'Sky Sources' have made it known that Chelsea are currently in talks with Fiorentina over the transfer of Colombian winger Juan Cuadrado.
Cuadrado reportedly has a buyout clause of £26.8 million, and after an inital Chelsea bid of £20.6 million was rejected, the London club have sent representatives to Florence in an attempt to finalise a deal.
Jose Mourinho loves his wingers to work hard, and that is certainly what Cuadrado would bring to the table. The right-wing position for Chelsea has mostly been occupied by Willian this season, and while the Brazilian has put in some good performances and is capable of providing goals and assists from the position, there have been some concerns over the consistency of his end product.
This means that were Cuadrado to sign, he would be deployed in what most believe to be his best position, and with speculation mounting over Andre Schurrle's future at Stamford Bridge, it could spell the end for the German in Chelsea blue and a demotion of Willian to the subs bench.
